MY PHILOSOPHY
As a neurosurgeon, I treat patients with urgent, life threatening, or debilitating conditions. I understand how difficult it is to be faced with illness, and how intimidating it can be to choose a surgeon. At the Center for Brain & Spine, I am committed to providing compassionate, individually tailored, comprehensive world-class neurosurgery − close to home. My approach is to treat the patient first, then the illness. I listen to and educate each patient before we, together, decide on the appropriate course of treatment. I review tests and images with each patient, and discuss all surgical and non-surgical options in detail. I encourage patients to ask questions because I believe that an informed patient will make a better decision. If surgery is indicated, I will partner with your primary care doctor and other specialists to ensure that your overall health is optimized. I believe the best care comes from an integrated, multidisciplinary approach. In the operating room, I have skills that enable me to treat a spectrum of neurosurgical disorders - including brain and spine tumors, as well as traumatic and degenerative diseases. I operate with the highest degree of microsurgical precision and standard of excellence, using the least invasive approach necessary. After surgery, I will continue to provide comprehensive, personalized, and compassionate care to you and your family throughout the entire recovery process. ~ Amin Amini, MD, MS, FAANS |
